Operation: Covert Dad to Anime

During the past few months, I've been trying to get my dad interested in anime so that I can have someone to share my interest with. So far, it seems to be working. I've been watching various anime DVD box sets with my dad and have found some that he likes. The first one that I got dad to watch was Yu Yu Hakusho. After watching the first few episodes, he was hooked and was more willing to watch the other animes I have. We are currently watching season 3 of Yu Yu Hakusho (I got seasons 3 and 4 for Christmas, as well several other series). Eventhough he really likes Yu Yu Hakusho, dad's favorite anime by far is Samurai Champloo. He's watched that series twice so far. The next anime I'm planning on introducing dad to Cowboy Bebop. I have a feeling that he will like it.

My fondest memory of 2009 is my trip to Branson, Missouri. That was a very fun vacation and I would like to go back some day. Unfortunately, tha lowest point of the year occured the day after we returned from our trip. That was when my dog, Abbie, died. To this day, I'm still not exactly sure what happened to her that caused her to deteriorate so quickly. Anyways, those were the two most significant events of 2009 for me.

When it gets unusually cold, snowy, and/or rainy, do you prefer to remain indoors? If there's a long stretch of bad weather, do you tend to get depressed and/or stir crazy? If so, how do you cope?

When the weather is really bad, I usually stay indoors as much as possible. I cope by playing video games and surfing the internet to keep myself busy. That keeps me from getting depressed.

Well, Christmas has come and gone, and I've recieved many presents this year. Among the gifts I obtained, I recieved a shiny, new laptop! Eventhough it's not quite New Years Eve, my resolution is to finally finnish at least some my fanfic projects. My other wish is to complete the 15 pairings challenge that I started over a year and a half ago. Hopefully, my muses will cooperate.

If I had to give up chocolate or my mobile phone, I'd give up my phone. Why? Well, I love to eat chocolate and have to eat at least a little every day. However, I very rarely use my mobile phone. In fact, it has been several years since I last used it. That is why I would be willing to give up my phone.

Much has happened

I haven't been writting much lately, in both this journal and my fanfics. I haven't been updating my fanfics because my laptop (which has my files for my stories) got yet another computer virus. As for my journal, I just couldn't decide what to write. I've pretty much given up on my Twisted Odessey project, but I may come back to it sometime in the future. I've been thinking about attempting to make some doujinshi's (fan comics), but I have yet to find the time and courage to do it.

In other news, my dog of whom I've had for 14 years had died a few weeks ago. I was just so sudden. I'm still grieving for her, but I hope to eventually get a new dog once the mourning has passed (and mom finishes renovating the house).

Well, I recently posted the first chapter of Turnabout Romance on Fanfiction.net. I think I will have no problem posting stuff on FFnet any more so I continue to post my fanfics there instead of here. The only exceptions are drabbles and short fics based on 15 Pairings and any other challenges which I will post in those LJ communitees. I still have my writter's block for Twisted Odessey and still haven't decided where to post it yet.

Hmmm... maybe I should start writting rants and/or video game reviews in this journal.

The fist part of Twisted Odessey seems to be taking longer than I thought it would. I just keep getting distracted. Also, I may have to post Twisted Odessey (and other stuff) on Livejournal after all since Word doesn't seem to put the proper file endings anymore (without the proper file ending I can't upload my stories to FictionPress and Fanfiction.net).

Anyways, I've finished the first chapter of my new Ace Attorney fanfic, Turnabout Romance. Since I'm currently unable to upload it to Fanfiction.net I may post it here instead. I'm also working on a couple of stories that combine my love for yaoi with my newly found hair fetish. I haven't decided if I'll post them here or not.

Change in Plans

Due to the fact that Word is now working again, I've decided not to write Twisted Odessy on LiveJournal and just write in on word. Then I'll post in on FictionPress. I'll already started working on the first part of Twisted Odessy. Unless I experience any more writer's blocks, I should have the first part done within a week or two.

I'm also working on a new fanfic. It's a multi-chaptered Ace Attorney fanfic called Turnabout Romance. Once I have a few chapters written, I'll begin posting them on Fanfiction.net. Stay tuned for update reports on these and other stories and fanfics I'm writting.

New Project in the Works

Recently an idea had popped into my head and it just wouldn't leave me alone. It's an original story that I will call Twisted Odessey. Actually, it is a series of one-shots that all take place in the midevil/fairytale-fantasy world called Terranoc. Eventhough most of these one-shots can stand-alone, they all interconnect with each other to some degree and ultimately combine to form a larger story. My plan is to write Twisted Odessey here in LiveJournal, and then eventually archive it in FictionPress. I will probably start this project in a few days from now.

Gaia Online

I have've been on Livejournal for quite some time. Why? Because I've been spending alot of my time on this site I found called Gaia Online. It's an awesome site. They even recently released an MMO there. Still, I haven't completely abandoned Live Journal. I've still have to complete my 500 fanfic reading challenge. I'm also going to try to complete the 15 pairing challenge too. It might be too late to complete 7suns though (I'll have to check).

Birthday

As of today, I'm now 22 years old. It still amazes me on how quickly time flies. In celebration of my birthday, I saw the movie The Dark Knight. Yes, it is as great as everyone says it is. It definatly movie of the year.

In other news, I'm almost done with chapter 4 of "Wish with Your Heart". I will probably be ready to post it on fanfiction.net either sometime tomorrow or the day after.

Dental Visit and Lack of Muses

Yesterday, I went for my regular dental health check like I do every 6 months. However, this time I was special since I also had my very first cavity to be filled in. Fortunately, my dentist was very gentle and he didn't have to do alot of drilling because my cavity was small. In fact, the operation didn't hurt at all.

In other news, I've decided to give up trying to finish my stories for the "Who's the Hobo?" contest for the Narumitsu community and the "Sex, Thugs, and Rock & Roll" contest for the Kyodoroki Community. I started on both stories, but my muses refused to cooperate. In fact, the only story I feel like working on at the moment is my AU Yugioh story, "Wish with Your Heart." I'm still going to work on my stories for the challenges I'm in, though.

Back from Vacation

I just got back from vacation. This year I went to the Mall of America in Minnesota. I had a great time! If you ever go there you should definately check out the Underwater Adventures Aquarium. You get to see the fish and sharks all around you (even above your head)! There is even an area where you get to pet some sharks and sting-rays! Also at the Mall of America is an indoor theme park too! Sure, some of the stuff there is kiddy-rides, but there are also plenty of rides for the adrenaline junkies.

Anyways, due to the rising flight prices I had to go on several connecting flights just to get to Minnesota. Then, I had to take more connecting flights to get back home again. Needless to say, I'm tired and suffering from jet-lag.
